Der Eisenrost was an industrial group from Japan, starting in April 1993. Notably, they had Chu Ishikawa as a member, an important figure in the Japanese industrial scene. Their sound is characterized by using live metal percussion, as well as sequenced samples and power tools, mixed with electronic industrial movements. The best example of their sound is the album Armored Weapon, which contains mostly live and a small amount of studio material. Their band name is German that roughly translates to "The Iron Rust."
Unfortunately, Der Eisenrost ended when Chu Ishikawa passed away in 2017.
